Fernmount Cemetery is a monumental cemetery on a sloping site of about 2 acres. It contains inscriptions dating from 1872 to the present day. The monuments are generally in good condition relative to age and the inscriptions mostly legible. There is as yet no columbarium erected on the site. The grounds are well maintained by Bellingen Shire Council.
Sandra Cockbain visited the cemetery in May 2010 and made digital images of all visible inscriptions. Her pictures may be viewed from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled from Sandra's images and with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
