Millaa Millaa
Theresa Creek Road,
Millaa Millaa Cemetery was established in the 1930s, before which time most burials from this area took place at Atherton. It occupies a sloping site and provides for monumental and lawn graves. Inscriptions date from the 1930s. The cemetery is maintained in good order by the Tablelands Regional Council.
Peter and Karen Patterson-Kane visited the site and made digital images and notes of all visible inscriptions during September 2009. Their images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled with reference to the Queensland indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information
From Millaa Millaa, head east on the Palmerston Highway for 1.1km and turn left (north) onto Theresa Creek Road, from where it is 1.4km to the cemetery.
Millaa Millaa Cemetery is administered by the Tablelands Regional Council. For further information, contact Council at PO Box 573 Atherton Qld 4883; phone: 1300 362 242; email: info@trc.qld.gov.au
