Mooloolah General Cemetery includes a monumental area with inscriptions dating from 1889, a lawn section and several columbaria. The cemetery is nearing capacity and will need to be extended or closed to burials in the near future. The grounds are maintained in good order by the Sunshine Regional Council.
Paul Fitzgerald visited Mooloolah Cemetery in September 2009 and made digital images of every visible inscription. His images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled by Paul from his images and with reference to the Queensland indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
Mooloolah General Cemetery is 8.5km east of Mooloolah towards Caloundra. The cemetery entrance is on the right hand side of Steve Irwin Way, just short of the Bruce Highway.
