The columbarium at St John's Anglican Church, Taree, comprises four free-standing walls close beside the church building and a fifth in the church grounds. Although there are three plaques bearing earlier dates, the columbarium appears to have been established in the early 1960s.
Paul Fitzgerald visited the site and made digital images of every inscription on 6 June 2009. He also completed the list of inscriptions columbarium with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
