Lockhart Lawn
The Lockhart Lawn Cemetery occupies a part of the General Cemetery site. It is a modern lawn cemetery with two columbaria and a rose garden for the placement of ashes and is maintained in excellent condition by the Lockhart Shire Council. The inscriptions were photographed by Dawn Smith, of Lockhart, in early 2008 and updated in September 2008.
Dawn's images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled from those images and from burial records of Council, to whom we wish to express our appreciation for the access they provided. We also referred to the NSW births, deaths and marriage indices and to the Australian War Memorial nominal military rolls for additional information.
From the centre of town, head east along Green Street and continue on Lockhart Road for a further 1.7km to Cemetery Road.
