Pioneers' Memorial Park is bounded by Campbell Street, Macquarie Street and the Hume Highway, in the south western suburb of Liverpool. This was originally the site of St. Luke's Cemetery. In 1970 the old cemetery was converted into a rest park, featuring original headstones and a memorial wall. Some of Liverpool's notable citizens resting there include early free settler and farmer James Badgery, after whom Badgerys Creek is named, Reverend Robert Cartwright, first Minister of St Luke's Church and Richard Sadlier, the first Mayor of Liverpool.
