Newcastle Memorial Park is one of the largest and most beautiful independently-owned memorial spaces in the Hunter region.
Formerly used as farm land, in the 1930s, a consortium of local business people formed Cremations Newcastle, which had a vision of turning the Anderson Drive location into parkland suitable for cremation memorials.
In 2004 and to meet the needs of the communities we serve, Newcastle Memorial Park began offering lawn burials, and in 2013 headstone burials were also made available to families.
Originally designed to challenge the dour notions of what a cemetery looks like, Newcastle Memorial Park is a wide, open, light and airy space; a peaceful place set amongst a sprawling natural setting.

Today, Newcastle Memorial Park remains an Australian-owned and operated business that is committed to serving all of people and faiths of the people of Greater Newcastle and the surrounding Hunter region.
Located on Anderson Drive, near the junction of the M1 (F3) and John Renshaw Drive, Newcastle Memorial Park can be easily accessed by car.
The Park gates are generally open from Sunrise to Sunset, 7 days a week. The Office is open 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and by appointment on Saturdays and Sundays.
