Aramac Cemetery
Address: Muttaburra-Aramac Road, Aramac 4726 QLD
Aramac Cemetery dates from 1878, according to information posted at the site, the first recorded burial being that of a one year old child. The headstone over this grave is still to be found. This small neat cemetery is fenced on all four sides and maintained in good order by Barcaldine Regional Council. It is perhaps unfortunate that the sewerage treatment plant has been located next door to it.
Peter and Karen Patterson-Kane visited and photographed the cemetery and its inscriptions in September 2010. The list of inscriptions for this cemetery has been compiled from their pictures and with reference to the Queensland and NSW indices of births deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
